Why do I need equipment to do neck exercises?
I know what you”re thinking. Why can”t I just flex my neck down or open my jaw a few times and get the same results as the Neckline Slimmer?
I asked myself the same questions when I invented the Neckline Slimmer.
In order to tone and lift the muscles of the neck, chin and cheeks you need the right level of resistance applied directly to the target muscles in a controlled manner. There are about 57 facial muscles but fortunately they all tend to work in synergy. The Neckline Slimmer was designed with this in mind.

Why are there three levels of resistance coils?
Also, it is important that the level of resistance be adjustable to allow for progress. The action needs to be reproducible, smooth and symmetrical to avoid injury or imbalance. Using your hand to provide neck or jaw resistance is a waste of time and could cause injury.

How was the Neckline Slimmer tested?
The Neckline Slimmer EMG studies were conducted at Chichester University in London in 2008. The results were significant. The target muscles of the neck, chin and cheeks all registered elevated muscle recruitment levels when resistance was applied. 80 percent greater results were measured in comparison to those without resistance exercise. Muscles tested included the Sternocliedomastoid, platysma, digastrics, masseter and the tempromandibular muscles. We were confident we had a product that could deliver and proceeded to test the findings in a training program with a range of middle-aged women in my home town of Petersfield in Hampshire, England. All the candidates were over 36 years old and of moderate weight with sagging necks or chins. The women embarked on an 8 week program.
